  11. PARex is a program which allows you to process files, mostly
  12. textfiles, whereby strings can be replaced by another, text
  13. between two strings can be stripped, strings put in lower or
  14. upper case.  PARex supports normal text searching, wildcard
  15. searching, context remembering and word-only searching.
  16. Using data scripts enables the use of an unlimited number of
  17. such replace commands.  Each replace command can be individually
  18. controlled.  All ASCII codes can be used in the search and
  19. replace strings, even entrire files, dates, times,... can be
  20. inserted in such strings.  Custom formatted hexadecimal output
  21. is also supported.  Over twenty ready to use program scripts
  22. are included to perform simple tasks as: converting files
  23. between different computer systems, stripping comments from
  24. source files, finding strings in files, converting AmigaGuide
  25. files to normal text files,... even automatic version updating
  26. of source files! (By the way v3.00 is about two to more than
  27. twenty times faster than the previous versions, and is
  28. supplied in english, german, french, and dutch!)
